The School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) admits students to its on-campus and distance master’s programs once a year, for fall semester. The first deadline is December 15th.
Although applications are accepted after the deadline until February 1, priority consideration, including consideration for departmental scholarships, is given to applications received by December 15.

September: Application for admission to the MA Program for the following Fall opens
Dec. 15: Priority Deadline for SLIS MA Program applications (to be considered for SLIS Scholarships)
January: Review of applications begins
February 1* – Deadline for SLIS MA Program applications;
*late applications may be considered. Contact SLIS Student Services Coordinator Tanya Hendriks Cobb.
February – March: Review of completed applications continues
Beginning March 1: Decision letters are sent via email to MA applicants
April 15: Deadline for applicants offered admission to let SLIS know if they will attend
April 16: SLIS begins to make offers of admission to applicants on the waitlist
